What makes a good image, for me, is simple: I just need to feel a strong, meaningful connection to what I’m capturing in that very moment.
对于我来说,只要我拍摄的时候有强烈的感觉 而且这个感觉是有意义的,对于我来说这个影像就是好的影像。

Whenever I return to it, that frozen second feels romantic and enduring. It’s like drinking our Cantonese herbal tea—there’s an initial bitterness, but it lingers with a soft, comforting sweetness afterwards.
可能每当回望这个影像的时候,这个瞬间会变得浪漫而且漫长,有点像我们广东人的凉茶,是回甘的。

In this age of AI, I think our personal, unvarnished perceptions—the way we individually notice and feel the small things around us—are irreplaceable.
在 AI 的浪潮下,我觉得这种个人的、纯粹的对身边事物的细腻感知和体验是弥足珍贵的。

As a humble Hakka flâneur, I just hope my work serves as small starlights on my journey. I want them to guide me, and maybe bring a little warmth to someone else, sparking a simple yet subtly deep resonance. That, to me, is everything a good image should be.
作为一名小小的客家人 flâneur,我的作品希望是我人生旅途上的小小星光,照亮自己,也希望能够照亮别人,带来一种简单但暧昧的共鸣,这是对于我来说 what makes a good image。
Hidden Dialogue 隐藏的对话 - Captured near sunset on 16 January 2025 at Tokyo’s Museum of Contemporary Art, during the Ryuichi Sakamoto exhibition, the mist began to fade. Just as I raised my camera, two figures stepped into the centre of the frame as one. They seemed to gaze at each other in silent dialogue, or simply share a quiet stillness in the fog. Around them, the crowd blurred into a poetic, transient flow. Like the mist, the moment was fleeting, yet looking back, it feels romantic and enduring.

Open Corner 开放的角落 - Captured on the afternoon of 13 August 2025 at Fondazione Prada in Milan, this piece is set in a quiet nook of Robert Gober’s exhibition. The doorway, an artwork itself, was the sole entry point. Afternoon light streamed from a window into the corridor, making the threshold glow like a framed stage. Intrigued, I waited to observe each "protagonist". Over ten minutes, I captured three people; this is one. Drawn to the same window, his pause caught my eye. The wait remains vivid.
